Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
This site promotes the book The Ballad of Juanita Brooks by Lindsay Hansen Park. It is a simple, static website. This policy explains the limited information it handles and your choices.
What we collect
The only personal information this site collects is the email address you choose to submit through the tour-and-news sign-up form. We do not ask for your name, address, or any other details.
The site does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party advertising or social-media trackers on these pages.
How the sign-up form works
The newsletter sign-up is powered by Google Forms. When you submit your email, it is sent to and stored in Google's services (Forms / Sheets) on our behalf. Your use of that form is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
How we use your email
We use your email address only to send updates about the book, including:
- Book-tour dates (e.g., Salt Lake City and Southern Utah)
- Release-day and pre-order news
- Signed-copy availability
We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address, and we don't share it with third parties except the service providers that help us operate the list (such as Google and, if used, an email-sending provider).
Unsubscribing
You can opt out at any time. Every email we send will include an unsubscribe link, or you can email us at the address below to be removed. We'll delete your address from the active list on request.
Links to other sites
This site links out to retailers (such as Benchmark Books, Amazon, the University of Utah Press, and Barnes & Noble) and to social-media profiles. Once you follow those links, their own privacy policies apply — we don't control and aren't responsible for how those sites handle your information.
Fonts
Body text uses a web font (Work Sans) served by Google Fonts. Loading it causes your browser to make a request to Google, which may receive your IP address as part of delivering the font. No font cookies are set.
Children
This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
